Online Courses

The Child Development and Family Studies undergraduate degree helps students obtain a specific body of knowledge in child development, while at the same time meeting the West Virginia State Department of Education's requirements for Pre-K Certification. Program courses address the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards for initial professional preparation. The degree requires 120 credit hours for completion, and all coursework is completed online.

The undergraduate degree in General Business, offered through the WVU College of Business and Economics, gives students an overall understanding of business and how organizations operate. They also learn business and management skills, including the ability to research, interpret and use business and financial data. Graduates of this program are well prepared to enter corporate management training programs, or to apply their skills to virtually any industry. All coursework for this program is completed online.

Online Courses

The online Multidisciplinary Studies undergraduate degree program is comprised of three related minors. The program does not limit students to courses of study in a particular college or school, but rather stresses the importance of breadth of knowledge and cross-disciplinary communication. The program emphasizes flexibility and combines specialized knowledge from individual disciplines with a unique ability to approach problems from divergent perspectives. Students may choose from 20 different minors. They learn to apply their three minors to real-world problems and to apply multidisciplinary techniques in communicating the strengths of their self-chosen course of study. The degree requires 120 credit hours for completion, and all coursework can be completed online.

Online Courses

The WVU School of Nursing RN to BSN program offers graduates of diploma and associate degree nursing programs the opportunity to complete requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) online. The RN-BSN program requires an additional 28 credit hours of nursing coursework beyond those taken for the diploma/associate degree. Coursework can be completed in three semesters of full-time study, or six semesters of part-time study. To complete the 120 credit hours required for the degree, students will have to meet all of WVU's general education requirements. The specific number of credits required will be determined after an evaluation of the applicant's transcript, as additional courses may be needed for graduation. All coursework for this program is completed online.

Online Courses

The online Regents Bachelor of Arts (RBA) is an innovative, foundational bachelor's degree designed to meet the unique needs of the nontraditional, adult learner. This degree allows students to earn college credit for work, life, or military experience. Furthermore, the program allows adult learners to earn College Equivalent Credits (CECs) for other academic experiences. The program recognizes the fact that many of our students have generally accumulated a wealth of work and life experiences that may be compatible with some of the courses that WVU and other state institutions offer. The degree requires 120 credit hours for completion, and all coursework for this program can be completed online.
