Occasionally a student will encounter an issue with an online course that he or she doesn’t know how to resolve. When this occurs, students should always contact the instructor first. Most issues are resolved when a student communicates their frustrations/concerns with the instructor. Students are encouraged to review the appropriate guidelines for each WVU campus. Potomac State College

West Virginia University Institute of Technology
For information regarding policies, grade appeal procedures or academic probation/dismissal please refer to the WVUIT Student Handbook.
If the issue is not resolved or not applicable to the above policies, the online or off-campus student can contact this office via the official WVU Online Student Complaint Form. When the complaint is received, it will be forwarded to the appropriate individual to review and address the issue. After your concern has been addressed, you will receive an e-mail documenting the resolution.
The student should begin the complaint process with the institution and if resolution is not found, the student would contact the Institution’s Home State SARA Portal Entity.
