Complaint Resolution

Occasionally a student will encounter an issue with an online course that he or she doesn’t know how to resolve. When this occurs, students should contact the instructor first for resolution. We encourage students to review the appropriate guidelines for each campus of the University:

WVU Online

Only students enrolled in a WVU Online major/program or course should complete this form. Students not enrolled in a WVU Online program should visit The Office of the Provost Student Questions and Complaints page.

State Contacts

The student should begin the complaint process with the institution. If no resolution is found, the student would contact the institution's home state SARA portal entity.

Higher Learning Commission

West Virginia University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Comments may also be filed with the HLC.

Please connect with the WVU Online team should you have any questions.
