Occasionally a student will encounter an issue with an online course that he or she doesn’t know how to resolve. When this occurs, students should contact the instructor first for resolution. We encourage students to review the appropriate guidelines for each campus of the University:
- West Virginia University: Academic Rights, Penalties, and Appeals
- Potomac State College: Student Questions and Complaints
- West Virginia University Institute of Technology: Student Questions and Complaints
WVU Online
Only students enrolled in a WVU Online major/program or course should complete this
form. Students not enrolled in a WVU Online program should visit
The Office of the Provost Student Questions and Complaints page.
State Contacts
The student should begin the complaint process with the institution. If no resolution
is found, the student would contact the
institution's home state SARA portal entity.
