Become a certified safety specialist

The National Resource Center, OSHA Training Institute Education Center through WVU Extension offers a great starting point to become a Certified Safety Specialist (CSS) across many different industries.

All courses are authorized by OSHA and taught by experts who want to help you further your career. You can earn a respected credential that shows you know the fundamentals of safety, as well as the specialized knowledge to succeed in your field and keep people safe.

These programs will also help you get your OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification cards, as well as positioning you to take your education even further by giving you the option to enroll in the Certified Safety Trainer (CST) program after graduation.

Certified Safety Specialist - General Industry (CSS-GI)

The CSS-GI Program is designed to address the many safety challenges found in general industry settings.
