Curriculum

Learning Outcomes

  • You will be able to demonstrate AI applications in core marketing functions such as social media, professional selling, communications, and promotions. 
  • You will be able to adopt AI technology to conduct, analyze and interpret marketing research. 
  • You will be able to use AI technology to describe the major types of consumer buying behavior, understand the stages in the buyer decision process and how the firms’ marketing strategy and marketing mix must evolve and adapt to match consumer behavior. 
  • You will be able to apply AI technology in customer relationship management. 
  • You will be able to demonstrate the ability to use AI technology to develop marketing strategies based on product, price, place and promotion objectives. 
  • You will be able to evaluate and assess the legal, ethical and social responsibility ramifications of AI-assisted marketing strategies. 

Hands-On Experience

Each course in the program is built around an AI-powered experiential learning approach, ensuring you gain practical, hands-on experience. Two courses are entirely project-based, offering you the opportunity to collaborate with real companies to address actual marketing challenges using AI tools and technologies.

Admissions Requirements and Eligibility

To obtain admission to the proposed program, applicants must:

  • Have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.8 or graduate GPA of 3.5.

  • TOEFL or IELTS Scores (international students only): West Virginia University requires international students to submit their TOEFL or IELTS scores directly to the central WVU Office of Admissions. Use destination code 5904 to have TOEFL scores sent. Generally, applicants whose first language is not English must submit adequate TOEFL or IELTS results before an application can be considered for admission. (TOEFL Internet-Based = 79; TOEFL Computer-Based = 213; TOEFL Paper-Based = 550; IELTS = 6.5)
