Several Benjamin J. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources online programs have been ranked among best in the country.

The U.S. News & World Report has named WVU’s Software Engineering, M.S.S.E. in the top 30 information technology online programs in the country for 2026 for the fourth consecutive year! Additionally, the Midstream Petroleum Engineering, M.S., Safety Management, M.S., and Engineering Management, M.S. programs were ranked among the top 60 online engineering programs. These rankings reflect Statler’s commitment to faculty expertise, student engagement, flexible online formats, and technology-enhanced support services that help professionals balance their career, studies, and real life. Statler’s online programs are designed to support those new to the field and working professionals alike, focusing on relevant issues and trends in their respective industries.
