Pam McDonald received her first graduate degree from Fairmont State University’s Master of Criminal Justice program, and she started her professional social work career immediately after graduating by working for the W.Va. Department of Health and Human Resources, where she became a Licensed Social Worker.
She has been a social worker for almost 12 years and is currently the Clinical Supervisor of Substance Use Disorder Community Based Programming for Healthy Minds at Clarksburg WVU Medicine.
She is an advocate for self-care, and she lives life balancing altruism and advocacy. She participates in the Rural Integrated Behavioral Health Training Program to expand her knowledge of behavioral health and previously volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Association. Pam says she is very lucky to be married to the love of her life. She and her husband recently purchased an RC car and have enjoyed taking it out on adventures. She loves all things “Back to the Future,” and by far her favorite character is Doc Brown. She is excited about completing her graduate program and working toward her next level of licensing.
