What You’ll Learn
The Combined School and District Leadership curriculum integrates research, leadership theory, and applied practice to prepare you for administrative roles across K-12 education. What You Need to Apply
- WVU Graduate admissions criteria
- Applicants must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 (4-point scale) for regular graduate admission.
- Applicants with a GPA between 2.50 and 2.75 may be admitted as a provisional graduate student. Once admitted provisionally, students are required to achieve a 3.0 GPA in their first 9 hours of coursework to be reclassified as regular status and remain in the program.
- Professional Teaching Certificate
- Residents of West Virginia require at least 2 completed years of teaching. Licensure requirements vary by state.
- In order to obtain administrative licensure, students will need to have completed 3 years of teaching by program completion. The certificate is not dependent on successful licensure.

Since certificates are considered non-degree-seeking programs, they don’t qualify for financial aid. However, some completed certificate programs allow you to transition into a full degree, at which point financial aid can be applied.
