All students must be admitted to West Virginia University prior to registration. The only exceptions are for visiting undergraduate students who can take a class with a guest pass or graduate-level professional development students. If you are not admitted or are unsure of your admission status, please call 1-800-2Learn2 (253-2762).
Students can pre-register using the STAR on-line registration system prior to the first day of the semester of classes. Students are not officially registered until all tuition and fees are paid. For more information on paying your bills go here.
You can register for WVU classes on-line! Go to the WVU Portal and click on "WVU Star System."
The WVU on-line registration site offers many useful options. To use the site, you will need to log on with your User ID and Personal Identification Number (PIN).
To add/drop courses, you will also need a Term PIN. You must meet with your academic advisor at WVU to obtain your PIN and Term PIN. He/she will also help you in selecting courses to meet your academic goals.

Choose if you want to look up your WVU ID with your MIX account or with your social security number.
