Course Adjustments
Important Registration and Payment Dates:
Fall Registration is open to add and drop courses the week of August 23-27. Tution payments are due on August 21st to prevent late fees.
Dropping a Course
Students must properly withdraw from a course. Simply not attending a class does not constitute a formal withdrawal. See Admissions and Records rules on dropping a course. You may withdraw from a course through STAR System or by sending an a e-mail to an Extended Learning Customer Service Representative. Include your name, last four digits of your WVU student identification number, course number, course name, and credit hours.
Note: If you are dropping to zero credit hours, please call Extended Learning at 1-800-2Learn2.
Adding a Course
You may also add a course up until the first day of any given term. After the first day, call Extended Learning at 1-800-2Learn2.
Refund Request
See the Admissions and Records refund schedule to see if you qualify for a refund.
Appeals for refund of student charges should be sent to OSA@mail.wvu.edu and copy Extended Learning at elearn@mail.wvu.edu. Appeals should be filed with in 14 days of the event. Please follow up with Extended Learning if you do not receive a response with in 2 business days at 1-800-253-2762 or elearn@mail.wvu.edu.
